If you are looking to jam in as much festive, ho-ho-ho, holiday cheer in denver this year, I have you covered. Here is my winter guide to denver.

winter guide denver

I love my home state + always try to squeeze in as much holiday fun as I can come december. There are tons of decorated spots around town, seasonal cocktails to consume + fun places to bring the kids. Today I’ve rounded up my favorite festive activities, bars, shops + restaurants in town.

union station terminal bar: sip a craft beer in the opulent terminal, adorned with a stunning tree + tons of holiday cheer.

miracle on little raven: this christmas-themed pop-up bar has thematic cocktails, decor + music. It’s only open until the end of december + is full of insta-worthy moments.

cruise room at the oxford hotel: a dimly lit martini bar with an old time elegance that feels so special + intimate. They also make a killer dirty martini.

the cooper lounge: an ideal spot for people watching and light apps. This place pays homage to the era of chic cocktail lounges; perfect for a gift exchange or girl’s night out.

christkindl market: an authentic european outdoor market filled with tons of handmade gifts, live music, artisan booths + endless charm.

stanley marketplace: tons of local artisans, makers + vendors along with dozens of dining options all under one roof. Need I say more?!

larimer square: this iconic street has so many quant boutiques and so much holiday spirit. Carolers perform throughout the day + horse-drawn carriages roll down the streets each night.

cherry creek north: small boutiques, tons of dining options + some of the city’s most high-end stores. Even if you are just window shopping, its a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

the brown palace: the atrium of this historic hotel is stunning year-round but come december, it is dripping in holiday decor in the most tasteful way. Book a table for their lavish high tea + get transported back in time.

beatrice + woodsley: dine on new-american fare at tables nestled between an indoor aspen forest. This restaurant is romantic, cozy + one of my favorite unique spots in denver.

denver steakhouses: there are dozens of steak restaurants around town + something about a decadant meal during the most festive time of the year just feels extra special.

blossom of lights: wander through urban gardens turned into a twinkling winter wonderland. This is a great family activity or a romantic date night too.

driving light tour: jump into the car, get your holiday playlist blasting + take a tour of the most spectacular homes in town.

ice skating at belmar: lace up your skates + take a few laps on this outdoor rink, lit up by endless holiday lights. afterwards, grab a cup of hot cocoa to warm you back up.

littleman ice cream: get a scoop of your favorite ice cream + pick up a fresh wreath, garland or tree from the littleman tree lot. This place is so festive + full of holiday fun for all ice cream lovers.

What is your favorite activity to do during the holidays?
