Last tuesday our family welcomed a baby girl into the world. Baby blake elizabeth joined us at 11:20am; weighing 6lb 7oz and 19″ long. She had a full head of dark brown hair and long skinny feet + hands. From the moment I heard her first little cries, my heart melted.
We were most excited to introduce her to cohen + I could not have been happier with how everything went. With just the 4 of us in our hospital room, we all sat on the bed and snuggle blake together. Seeing cohen hold blake in his arms right by my side was one of the most amazing moments of my life. My family felt so complete and my heart was so full. For weeks cohen knew his baby sister was in my belly + would point or kiss my baby bump when asked ‘where is your sister’. Now, for him to hold her in his arms, it was just so powerful. Looking at ryan, cohen + blake right in front of me, I was overwhelmed with emotions. Shocker… I totally cried.
We are settling in at home now after a few days in the hospital. Currently we are creating a new routine and leaning into our current family dynamic. Of course, in typical fashion ryan has been the most active + involved father. His ability to spend so much quality time with cohen + rocco while also doing so much with blake is beyond impressive. It is hard to put into words what an incredible father he is and how blessed I am to have him by my side.
I will have more to share soon but just wanted to take a moment and officially welcome blake to the blog + introduce her to all of you. Oh and don’t you worry, I have a bunch of new posts ready to go for the days + weeks ahead. See you back here very soon!
