This past weekend was spent primarily at home, soaking in as much quality time with my little tribe as possible.
I feel like it has been forever since I wrote a weekend update post. These are some of my favorite to write because they are like a personal digital diary but sometimes, I wonder if my readers care about my weekend escapades. Anyways, here we go…
Ryan had his first business trip post-pregnancy this past week which was hard on all 4 of us. I don’t know who was more sad to be honest. Cohen wondered around the house multiple times last week calling out ‘daddy’ in confusion. Blake was often shafted, being put down so I could tend to cohen or get something done real quick. I was a mess missing my partner-in-crime to help with the workload. And then ryan, being away from his family for the first time in awhile, ugh. So, it is no surprise that all of us wanted to spend as much time together once he arrived home.
We went on walks to the park to play in the warm sunshine.
I made this skirt steak recipe which was a huge hit + the perfect dish to grill out.
Ryan + cohen went swimming together, splashing about + riding down the slide.
We sat around our fire pit listening to music under the stars after the kids were both asleep.
Ryan + I snuck away for a much needed date night to see jack johnson in concert.
After multiple nights of cohen waking up in the middle of the night, we had at least 1 good night’s sleep. Ugh… our sleep is lacking so bad lately with an infant + cohen waking up.
Cohen ‘watered the plants’ in his swim gear, successfully soaking himself while laughing the entire time.
We brunched with friends on saturday morning at the hornet. 6 kids, 5 adults, bloody marys + a bit of organized chaos.
I hope everyone had a great weekend as well. I am grateful for all of the time at home with my family and look forward to our week home together. See you back here this week for some new content going live!
