Welcome back from the long 4th of july weekend. My past 3 days were super busy yet, when my head hit the pillow last night, I had nothing but gratitude for the the past few days and all the great experiences I had. Here is a little recap of my july 4th weekend.

Ryan, cohen + I had very little down time but in the best of ways. We spent some time at a couple different friends’ bbqs, went swimming at my parents’ house, had an amazing dinner on a beautiful patio, walked the cherry creek arts festival and then wrapped up the weekend with our annual 4th of july party. There was endless eating, drinking, playing + fun.

Every year our party seems to be getting a bit bigger and better… making this tradition one that I look forward to so much. Ryan, luke + brett manned the grill, serving up an insane amount of tri-tip steak (we used this recipe which turned out awesome) to go along with the tons of salads, dips, snacks + desserts on hand. Matt + lindy brought a selfie stick with them which quickly became a huge hit. Not only did the kids like it, all us adults were big fans as we documented the evening. The music was playing, yard games were going non-stop and there was an abundance of friends + family around. As I rocked cohen to sleep last night, I could not help but feel this overwhelming sense of gratitude. I am so thankful for every experience, person, moment + laugh over the last few days.

When I look back on this 4th of july, I might not remember every moment but I will know that my days were filled with those I love + care about so much and in the end, that is all that matters. I hope your holiday weekend was a good one too. See you back here this week for some awesome new posts!!!
