Our annual holiday cards were sealed, stamped + dropped into the mail earlier this week. Here is a peek at this year’s design.

I have said it a million times (or what feels like it) but I absolutely love snail mail. Hand-written notes and sending cards ‘the old fashion way’ take intention. In a world where we can send an email in only moments or shoot-off a text in nano-seconds, the art of mailing something is nearly lost. Maybe that is why I love the surprise + anticipation of sending something in the mail to people I love.

Every year I get super excited to send out holiday cards, just like I do with my annual valentine’s day cards for all my girlfriends. Usually there are great deals on cyber monday with many online retailers. Picking out the perfect design + then customizing is something I totally geek-out on. Just like last year, I ordered from shutterfly, using a few snaps from our family photo shoot a couple months back. All our cards were dropped in the mail earlier this week + should be arriving today. Hopefully I am not ruining the surprise by sharing them here now. Our mail box has been scattered with cards coming in too; filling my heart with so much happiness. I don’t know what I love more… knowing that other’s share my love for sending cards or seeing our friends + family’s faces and sentiments on each card we open.

Do you send out holiday cards?

We got ours and look forward every year to what you come up with. I appreciate the snail mail and I am sorry I am so poor at it. LUA
