Simple but striking; our presents are officially ‘sealed by the north pole’ + nestled under our tree, waiting for christmas morning.
I have yet to finish all of our holiday shopping but I decided I might as well get a head-start on our wrapping. Blake happily sat in her bouncy chair near-by as I got to work one afternoon. Honestly, it is one of my favorite things to do leading up to christmas. I gather all my supplies, crank up the holiday tunes + sprawl out on the floor for ample room to roll out the paper. Typically, I buy some version of kraft paper because I love the simplicity mixed with chunky red or green yarn.
Yet, on a recent trip to home goods, I found this paper with a little reindeer seal that I was instantly drawn to. Something about the phrase, ‘sealed by the north pole’ just made me smile. The cute detail makes it feel special but still within my kraft paper wheelhouse. The best part… it came with patterned washi tapes for a pop of color. I made super simple name tags out of white paper + I love the overall look. Stacked up under our tree, they catch my eye every time I walk by. The combo of brown, black, white + red… it’s cheerful + festive but slightly understated.
If you need some holiday wrapping inspiration, check out my post from last year here. I also have a whole page dedicated to the art of gift wrapping on my pinterest page as well. I pin stuff year-round to help inspire me for birthdays, hostess gifts + of course, major holidays. Like I said, I love beautifully adorned present with all the trimmings! Now, if I just had a little more patience to battle the crowds + finish up my holiday shopping. Ugh… one thing at a time.
