We have had quite the packed schedule these last couple of weeks. Between cohen’s first swim lessons + backyard projects, we are making the most of our late spring days.
It’s been awhile since I wrote a weekend update post. It’s not due to a lack of activity but more, the lack of picture taking. I have slacked at documenting all our fun + cohen has gotten a bit obsessive over our iphones. So, we have been a bit more conscious about keeping them out of sight. So what have we been up to?
Cohen started swim lessons a couple weeks ago and it has been awesome to see him embrace the experience. Ryan + cohen splashing around, swimming about + practicing basic skills to become comfortable in water has me ear-to-ear smiling from the sidelines each saturday morning. Maybe the only hesitation from either of them is when it’s time to fully-submerge cohen under water.
I mentioned we were ‘breaking ground’ on a backyard project here and the progress is staggering to see. Ryan (with some gracious help from his grandparents) has almost finished building a beautiful fence, extending our backyard space and creating the perfect shady zone for warm summer afternoons. We have some grandiose plans to add in a fire pit, moody lighting, a stone patio + some landscaping to soften up the space and I cannot wait to see how it will come together.
My favorite farmers market in denver opened this past weekend on south pearl street. I was so happy to wander up and down the booths, just like the droves of people in attendance. All the fresh produce inspires my menu planning + is visually stunning to take in. In the months ahead, many of our sunday mornings will be spent snacking, shopping + strolling the market.
Happy hump day readers!
