Happy monday. I feel energized and ready for the week ahead… maybe because this weekend had so much good wrapped up in it.
We celebrated ashley’s birthday with a fun evening out in lodo; so many friends, laughs + stories to go around. The evening was a great little escape from our norm + a fabulous reminder of the wonderful friends in our lives.
The beautiful evening weather allowed us to enjoy some time on our porch, after cohen went to bed one night. To refresh our patio space, I picked up a couple new pillows + this outdoor rug. Ryan brought home a citronella candle to add to the ambiance too. I feel like we will be logging some serious time out here in the months ahead.
Finally we sat down and went through some of the baby stuff we have boxed up. While we only made a small dent, it felt good to mentally audit our belongings. Our baby girl arrives in just 5 weeks!
Ryan + I also ‘broke ground’ on a new backyard project we have been talking about since we moved in 2 years ago. The beginning stages are always a ton of work (especially when I am basically no help!) but I cannot wait to see how this space develops + adds to our backyard renovation from 2016.
I finished listening to the podcast, s-town. My mother-in-law got me hooked on the series + while I was a bit disappointed in the ending, I was just fascinated with the story + john b. mclemore. Any suggestions on the next podcast I should download?
OMG, I think we are creating a monster too. Cohen’s obsession with cars is going to be heightened by a recent purchase, a pre-owned power wheels. I cannot wait to share more but it’s probably going to be the only toy he’ll want to play with ever again.
Hope you had a memorable weekend too. See you back here this week!
