Our giggling girl is growing away, even after a tough couple weeks working through a bug + some severe diaper rash. Here is her 4 month update…

Kids truly are resilient. It could not be more evident than over these last few weeks with our little girl. While our pediatrician could not definitively say, blake was struck with either a viral bug or a case of hand, food + mouth (thank you cohen + daycare!) that left her with some serious tummy troubles for nearly 2 weeks. Her solid sleeping schedule went right out the window as she began waking up nearly every hour, on the hour. Needless to say, all of our sleeping schedules have suffered through much of september.

Likewise, I think everyone’s heart broke when they saw her raw little buns too. We tried everything we could read or think of to combat it. Yet, through all her uncomfortableness, inside + out, there she was smiling. And smiling could be a full-time job for her too because as soon as you make eye contact with her, that little face just lights up. Every time!

A couple other monthly updates to share too… blake is a tiny little peanut, minus her vivacious appetite. She eats nearly 4oz every few hours + almost 6oz when she wakes in the middle of the night. Yet, she is only in the 4th percentile for weight + 30th percentile for height. I see how alert + cognitive she is, making me easily forget she’s only 4 months. Oh + her love for the bath has vanished too. She shrills the moment you dip her into the water. Comparitively, cohen has always loved the bath and blake did too for the first few months. I hope this is just a side effect or a phase right now because bath time (tubbles!) is such a big part of our nightly routine.
