Our annual 4th of july party was a major success, filled with red, white + blue and the best of friends + family.

Every year we host a party over the holiday weekend and invite our friends + family to join us for a big backyard bbq. This year was no different and I could not have been happier with how everything came together. We had family in from out of town, along with so many of friends in attendance. The biggest change this year from previous, was the number of kids running around. It was awesome to see nearly a dozen little ones playing, laughing + chasing each other in the backyard. By far the best part was watching cohen interact with all of them. His endless smile + vivacious laugh was everything for ryan and I. Even if he went to bed after 10pm and was up at the crack of dawn, it was totally worth it.

Drinks, a big grill-out + then s’mores around the firepit with the people we love; could I ask for anything more? I think not. Ryan  + I were also able to show off our new backyard patio addition. It came together beautifully + just in time to host everyone. Moreover, we have a new patriotic piece to help decorate our space with… a pallet flag we spray-painted. It took less than 30 minutes and made the perfect backdrop to our bar.

Oh and a huge thank you to matt + lindy for letting us borrow their selfie stick. Capturing a big group photo towards the end of the evening would have been a much more difficult task without it. Overall, it was a whirl-win of a weekend and a bit ambitious of us to host a big party only 4 weeks after blake’s arrival but I am so happy we were able to continue the tradition.

I hope everyone had a fun + safe 4th of july!
